Bay Area LISC Announces the 2005 Operating Cost Database
Bay Area LISC is pleased to announce the release of the third annual Operating Cost Database. We created the database in 2003 in response to demand from local affordable housing developers for a resource with up-to-date figures of what it costs to operate and maintain affordable housing in the Bay Area. This year's database is the biggest yet, and includes data representing over 17,000 units of affordable housing from 289 properties throughout the Bay Area. The user friendly Excel file can be sorted by housing type, location, and other important variables. Many thanks to the seventeen Bay Area affordable housing developers who contributed to the database in order to help all Bay Area nonprofit developers to better understand the costs of business in the industry and streamline their operations.
